Reciprocal License Agreements

If you hold an ACTIVE license in one of the following states, you may obtain a WAIVER of Idaho’s prelicense education and license exam requirements for the same type of license you currently hold:

Alberta, Canada

Oregon

Colorado

South Carolina

Georgia

South Dakota

Iowa

Tennessee

Montana

Utah

North Dakota

West Virginia

Oklahoma

Wyoming

If you hold an active license in any other state not listed above, you may obtain a WAIVER of the prelicense education requirements and the national (general) portion of the license exam ONLY for the same type of license you currently hold.

Exam Waivers:

1.         Obtain a “Certified License History” from your state’s Real Estate Commission and submit it to IREC with a written request for waiver of the national portion of the licensing exam. 
2.         IREC will mail your exam waiver to you, along with a licensing package that includes the required fingerprint card and a license application.
