E-MAIL FRAUD ALERT! - The FDIC issued Special Alert (SA-183-2009) this week regarding a fraudulent e-mail claiming to be from the FDIC. We received news of this problem from the State of Idaho computer security folks. They have asked us to help distribute the information because of the severity of the threat. Click here to read more and to see examples of the fraudulent e-mails. If you receive one, delete it immediately and do not click any links in the e-mail.
An E&O Thank You! With your help, we saw a dramatic reduction in the number of late E&O insurance renewals again this year. We appreciate the assistance of our designated brokers and local REALTOR® associations to help us remind licensees to renew E&O insurance on time.
An E&O Reminder! If you are covered by a company E&O insurance policy and you change offices, the company E&O coverage does not transfer with you. Please remember to either purchase the IREC group E&O insurance or verify your new office has its own company policy BEFORE you move your license. Log in to www.IREC.idaho.gov to check whether your E&O coverage is transferable (the IREC group policy) or non-transferable (an independent company policy).
