NEW BLUE BROCHURE The Commission’s Agency Disclosure Brochure has been revised. Please use only the July 1, 2009 version.
NEW RENEWAL NOTICES - The Commission has revised its renewal notices – we are no longer sending out renewal forms. Instead, we are asking you to renew your license at www.IREC.idaho.gov through the IREC online services. Thank you for your assistance in this matter!
If you need help to register, log in, or use the new IREC online services, please contact one of our friendly staff members at (208) 334-3285 or (866) 447-5411 (toll free in Idaho).

License Agreements – All license agreements have been cancelled. If you are licensed in another state “by agreement”, please check with that state’s licensing agency to make sure you fulfill all requirements for that license renewal. Likewise, if you hold an Idaho license “by agreement”, your Idaho license has now been converted to a primary Idaho license. That means you must meet Idaho’s CE requirement for license renewal -- 16 hours of elective credit plus one Idaho Commission Core course. We will accept other states’ core courses for Idaho elective credit, but there is no substitute for the Idaho Core course requirement. By the way, “Cracking the Code” and the NAR Green Designation “Core” course do NOT fulfill the Idaho Core course requirement.
Courses Advertised for CE Credit May Not Be!! - We have received a number of courses submitted by licensees for CE credit for which no credit is available. Unfortunately, the folks offering the courses are (in some cases) advertising them for real estate CE credit or calling them “designations”, and this has caused problems for our licensees. If you get an advertisement for a CE course and you aren’t sure if it’s approved for CE credit, take a moment and look it up at www.IREC.idaho.gov under “Find a Class”. If it’s not certified, then in most cases you won’t get CE credit for it. The only exception is certain courses to obtain pre-approved designations – those are listed on our website. You can also contact our office for more information. Don’t wait until the day your license expires to find out you still need CE credits!
