HOT TOPIC – The Latest Scam: We have received word that licensees in other states are getting phone calls from someone claiming to be from their Real Estate Commission, telling them their fingerprint cards have expired. The caller than asks for credit card and social security numbers. Fingerprint cards and criminal background checks do not “expire”. If you receive one of these calls, do not give out any personal information! And if you have any questions about the legitimacy of any phone call or e-mail, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Did you know? The July 1 edition of the Real Estatement is now posted online for viewing at www.IREC.idaho.gov. We are pleased to announce that starting with the January 2010 edition, IREC will once again print and mail the Real Estatement in addition to publishing the newsletter online.
E&O renewal notices for the IREC group insurance policy will be sent the first week of August. Please watch for this important mailing, which will arrive with an IREC return address. This year’s premium is $186. Renewal payments must be received by Rice Insurance Services Company (RISC) on or before October 1. Otherwise, your renewal is late. You can renew online at www.risceo.com (a $5 “convenience” fee is added for credit card bank charges), or you can mail your payment to RISC. If you plan to mail a check, please renew early to ensure you meet the October 1 deadline. |
