Welcome to the Real Estate Commission’s Inaugural E-Newsletter!

The Commission has two pieces of draft legislation this year. The first is an education bill which is co-sponsored with the Idaho Association of REALTORS® (S 1251). The second is the Commission’s annual housekeeping bill (S 1257). Visit our website to read the proposed changes.	Make sure the courses you take for continuing education are approved for CE! Check our website at www.IREC.idaho.gov for a list of certified courses and the professional designations for which the Commission will accept coursework. (The Commission also accepts many out-of-state courses on a case-by-case basis, as well as some courses offered for other professions such as attorneys and appraisers.)
	Look for the Idaho course approval number on any course advertisements you receive. The Commission receives many reports of providers who incorrectly advertise courses as “accepted” or “approved” for Idaho CE. If you receive a questionable advertisement for a course, we encourage you to check the Commission’s list of certified courses if the CE hours are important to you. If you receive a misleading advertisement, please forward it to us at jesama.rosensweig@IREC.idaho.gov or fax to (208) 334-2050.
Get 4 hours of free CE credit every renewal period by attending a full Commission meeting. Meetings are held monthly, usually in Boise but also in other locations around the state. Visit our website for meeting dates and locations.
	Check your education account online. Courses offered through Idaho certified providers are automatically posted to your account within 5 business days after completion of the course. To submit out-of-state and other professional courses for consideration of CE credit to your account, submit our Request for CE Credit Form with the required attachments. Avoid pesky CE audits!! Check your education account and submit CE certificates to the Commission in advance of your license renewal date!
