Broker License Requirements
Broker or Associate Broker:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Minimum 90 hours of broker prelicense education (click here for specific course requirements)
- Two (2) years of active real estate sales experience within preceding five (5) years
- Complete fingerprint background check
- State and national broker license exam (click here for license exam info)
- Errors & Omissions Insurance (click here for info on RISC group E&O insurance)
- Proof of legal presence in U.S.
For Designated Broker, add the following:
- Business Conduct & Office Operations (BCOO) or Idaho Brokerage Management course within preceding 3 years (may not be waived)
- Trust Account Notification form
- Certificate of Assumed Business Name (if necessary) filed with Idaho Secretary of State
- Company license application (see application form for additional required information)
